Forensic Psychological Services

Dr. Clomax specializes in a range of forensic evaluations, including fitness to stand trial, risk assessments, child custody, parenting capacity, and more. Her evaluations are thorough, scientifically backed, and tailored to the unique needs of each case ensuring they stand up to legal scrutiny.

Dr. Clomax is mindful that forensic evaluations often carry significant consequences for individuals and families. Accordingly, she balances thoroughness with efficiency and maintains clear communication with retaining counsel regarding scope, timelines, and expectations. Dr. Clomax's role is to provide the court with a well-reasoned and objective psychological analysis that includes clinical opinions that are grounded in empirical data, professional judgment, and established standards of practice.

Forensic Evaluations and Consultations

Evaluations may include clinical interviews, record review, collateral interviews, observations, and standardized psychological measures, as appropriate. All data sources are integrated using a hypothesis-testing framework rather than assumption-based conclusions. Discrepant information is addressed directly rather than minimized, and alternative explanations are considered and documented.

Additionally, Dr. Clomax frequently incorporates empirical literature to help explain complex symptoms, presentations, behaviors, and/or family systems. Attorneys who work with Dr. Clomax value her ability to translate complex psychological findings into precise, legally relevant language. Her reports are written to be clear, structured, and directly responsive to referral questions. She approaches each case with diligence, discretion, and respect for the seriousness of the legal process.
